Ok, if you really want a “hotel look”, check out this bedding on ebay.
White walls, black bed and this set will really give you a hotel look. I would put a deep red carpet under the bed showing on all sides. Black framed mirrors, silver candle holders with white candles and pictures with red, white and black in them would complete the look.
On the other hand, if you want “romantic”, and the wood you’re referring to is a wall, I would paint the wood white and put a pretty cast iron bed against it. Something that is tall and a little intricate (I included this link just to show you what I mean)
A pretty white bedspread with some red in it like this one (http://www.bedbathstore.com/brredtohaquw.html) would set off the bed and white wall. Then I’d go with black framed mirrors and pictures to coordinate with the bed.
If you really wanted “romantic”, I’d buy a half canopy to put over the bed with some soft flowy curtains pulled back on both sides. Here’s an example and even has red flowers on it:
.
If you have bare floors, I’d put a plush white or red rug under the bed showing on all sides.
These are just my ideas.
Good luck, it sounds like you are on the right track to a very pretty room.
