affordable new york hotels?

a friend and i are going to new york city over spring break and need an affordable, yet nice, place to stay all week. any ideas? we found a bed and breakfast we really liked, but it was insanely expensive.

Yes New York is very expensive. If you need an accomodation for only a week, why don’t you sublet a room in someone’s apartment? (like a roommate situation). It is most affordable and usually more comfortable specially because you can even cook (in hotels you can’t).

Many people sublet their room for short term (I have done plenty of time) and it is quiet safe and affordable.

There are lots off good cheap hotels. But remember, cheap in NYC is 150 a night. Email me with more specs or a price range and I could help a little better. Off the top of my head, the pod, whish is insanely small with shared bathrooms, and Hotel Pennsylvania isnt bad either.

this is a difficult one as New York is expensive. Venere seem to have some good prices as do Holiday Velvet for apartments
